Podfic: 'Disco Stick' by withthepilot

Another one of my top five Urbines, this story is fucking awesome. It's so funny I burst into laughter several times while recording. (Which all got edited out, lol, no fear.) But it made me love Cho (ho shit, reading him was f-u-n FUN), and because of this story, I cannot see a bottle of Vitamin Water without grinning. XB

The recording's not perfect -- hahah yeah Kiwi accent is hard, okay, and some parts are too loud, and I misread some names and didn't realize it at the time and have I mentioned Audacity sucks? so it's stuck there for life. I'm totally mortified, but y'all're smart, you'll figure out who it's supposed to be. ^^ (Hint: this is a bottom!Karl story.) And a new winner came out of the 'surprisingly difficult phrases to say' competition: 'Chris finishes his sandwich.' I had to do it like five times.

Oh, and while I was willing to pretend to be Chris pretending to be Phil Collins, I did not attempt to pretend to be Lady Gaga. So here's the track: 'Love Games' by Lady Gaga.

hahaha yeeeeeah I've actually done accents on most of them. >.> This one's definitely the best attempt - Karl's been in Hollywood so long his accent comes and goes so it's hard, and I tend to get OVERLY OUTBACK. You'll hear, lol. You're totally free to tell me it's pants, and/or give pointers. :D:D:D

I recommend anything read by reena_jenkins - she's bloody brilliant and I'm pretty sure that's where I got them all from. I'm happy to send you what I have if you can't find them on the comm itself, but they should all be from there. I wish there were more too - I just adore listening to stories and I often download books to listen to.

I've been meaning to come over and comment on how fucking awesome this podfic was since forever, sorry I took so long! You have to bring to mind an image of me and the mutt, walking round the park in the drizzle, and me laughing my head off like a crazy lady. Also maybe poop-scooping :D

The "You want Chris to get all up in your vagina" line, shit, I can't even type it without fighting the giggles. How the fuck did you manage to read it out?

And your Karl voice. *clears throat* Good job!

I also listened to your other podfics, simons_flowers (hope I got the name right) and your Chris/Karl epic (which I've listened two TWICE). I'll have to PM you about that at some point because it really resonated with me and I don't want to share on here but, just in case you were wondering if it's worth the effort and make more podfics, YES IT IS!

You have no idea how many times I've read this comment. About a billion. I took it to sleep with me a couple nights like a teddy bear. Because I love doing these things, and getting this kind of feedback on it is rare and glorious.

And now I've even heard you say 'all up in your vagina' IN PERSON, which makes it a zillionty times better. If you listen super closely, you can tell the tone of my voice changes when I start that sentence -- because I did it about eighteen times before I got a take that wasn't full of giggles or tripping over my own tongue.

You should totally PM me about the Epic Mary Sue. You've got me all curious now.
