1: How did you first get into writing fanfic, and what was the first fandom you wrote for? What do you think it was about that fandom that pulled you in?

~Writing fanfic wasn't until December of 2002, and then it was Ron/Hermione in Harry Potter fandom due to a themed archive/forum on which I was very active. Why I was drawn to write for HP when I hadn't written for X-Files, which I'd been reading since about 1996 (on listservs, lolol)... That's an interesting question. The archive in question was a very social, friendly, tight-knit, female-dominated place, so that was a super-welcoming-to-newbies environment. HP canon isn't as, well, grown-up as the X-Files so it was probably less intimidating. Or maybe it was because I was unemployed and living with my parents and had no more fucks to give, who knows.
