Trek Fest WAS amazing, I keep meaning to go back...though it sounds like it hasn't been quite such a to-do since that year, it was barely a month since the reboot and everyone was Trek-mad :) But still, it was rad. And...re: my hair...lol thanks :) part of it was just that I was working on a farm at the time and it was damn hot and I have always been too lazy to take care of my hair, but at least in part it was that I was engaged to a guy at the time and was (totally unconsciously, totally) clinging to what vestiges of my queer identity I still could :P
